CONVERSATIONS
May 12 - June 30, 2026
“Conversations”
Ancient Tribal Arts x Collectible Art & Design
Galerie Flak x Galerie BSL
The exhibition continues at Galerie BSL | 14, rue des Beaux-Arts, 75006 Paris
A MEANINGFUL DIALOGUE
This exhibition was conceived for Paris Tribal, the unmissable event for the international ancient art scene from Africa, Oceania, and the Americas. For this occasion, Galerie Flak has partnered with Galerie BSL, a hallmark of collectible design, for an exclusive collaboration.
Together, they present “CONVERSATIONS”, a landmark exhibition that dissolves the boundaries between eras and disciplines.
A Soulful Connection: How does a Songye mask from the Congo or a Kachina doll from Arizona fit into a 21st-century home? This exhibition demonstrates how ancestral art brings an organic vibration and spiritual depth to the sleek lines of contemporary design.
The 21st-Century Collector: This exhibition is curated for the forward-thinking collector, free from traditional categories. Rather than segmenting their passions, they view their interior as a cohesive whole, where formal excellence creates a bridge across centuries.
A Curated Vision: Each piece has been selected for its ability to engage in dialogue. Between the radical geometry of an Oceanic mask and the structural form of a coffee table by Badara Ndiaye, a shared language emerges: that of universal modernity.
“With this exhibition, we want to show that art knows no borders. Placing a centuries-old statue alongside a piece of contemporary design creates a temporal bridge that elevates the modern living space.” — Julien Flak
Exhibition running until June 30, at Galerie BSL – 14 rue des Beaux-Arts, Paris
